I was watching some old ads, and one that I thought would be the closest compromise was stores and fast food places selling coupon books (like Maccas did 20 coupons for a dollar, and each coupon could be redeemed on Halloween for a soda), so people could leave out a coupon book and kids tear off a coupon to redeem candy and food from corporate places for like the week of Halloween. It’s a bit “hail corporate”, and still not as safe as it should be, but ya know…if it’s the choice between this and a bowl of COVID candy…I’d go with the coupon.
